Our Story
Founded in 2013 by Creighton Stout, Sr., an architect with more than 24 years of professional experience, Stout Architecture is a multidisciplinary design practice grounded in the stewardship, rehabilitation, and restoration of historic architecture. The firm’s portfolio extends across commercial, multifamily, and detention environments, with particular expertise in adaptive reuse strategies that preserve the character and material integrity of existing structures while accommodating contemporary programs, performance standards, and operational needs. From early programming and feasibility analysis through budgeting, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration, Stout Architecture guides each commission with rigorous technical coordination, contextual sensitivity, and a clear architectural vision. The practice continues to grow through the addition of talented professionals whose diverse perspectives, specialized capabilities, and design insight strengthen the firm’s collaborative process and enrich the built outcomes of its work. Our Design Process
Stout Architecture, LLC builds successful projects through clear communication, collaboration, and accountability. Our Project Manager will serve as the client’s primary contact, coordinating the team, schedule, documentation, meetings, and decisions from project initiation through completion.
Programing & Design
Design updates, milestone reviews, and ongoing cost estimates maintain alignment with the Client’s vision, programmatic requirements, and established budget.
Bidding/ Contracting
During bidding, we coordinate with prospective contractors, issue clarifications and addenda as required, and administer a competitive procurement process consistent with the Project requirements and the Client’s best interests.
Construction Administaiton
During construction, we will provide responsive administration, including submittal and RFI reviews, site observations, pay application reviews, and contractor coordination to resolve issues promptly and protect the client's interests.
