Project Description
Circa 1903 Renovations
This project was to take the existing building shell and design an event center that could be used for large events or subdivided for small events. The existing building was damaged by a fire and the roof had to be evaluated to see if it would have to be rebuilt of if could be salvaged and a new roof installed. Structural engineers were brought in to evaluate the structural members and it was noted that the structural members were not damaged. There were areas in the deck that needed to be repaired and then a new SBS roof system was installed over tapered insulation. There was a new kitchen that was added onto the rear of the building and was going to have a metal frame with a single slope roof. Since the addition had to match the exterior detailing of the original building details were carried from the original building into the addition. So, the brick details were duplicated, and a parapet were added to 2 sides of the addition that had a pitched metal roof. The project was design on time and within the budget.
Stout Architecture, an esteemed architectural design firm, proudly presents a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, including event centers like Cira 1903, The Sand Bar, and the American Legion, as well as early childhood learning centers and mixed-use facilities.
